The City of North Miami Beach Water Department seeks to enhance its operational capacity by procuring heavy equipment critical to maintaining and improving infrastructure.  The Department intends to purchase two (2) John Deere backhoe loaders estimated at an estimated total cost of $322,326 through a cooperative purchasing agreement with Dobbs Equipment LLC, utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract No. FSA23-EQU21.0 – Equipment.  The contract is effective October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025.

Dobbs Equipment LLC is an authorized, full-service John Deere dealership, with multiple locations throughout Florida. Under the FSA contract, Dobbs Equipment supplies various heavy-duty equipment, including backhoe loaders, excavators, forklifts, and other construction machinery, which are well-suited for the City’s public utility operations.

The NMB Water Department and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission authorize the Interim City Manager or designee to execute a Piggyback contract in an estimated budgeted amount not to exceed $322,326 with Dobbs Equipment LLC.

Requesting a Purchase Order for the allocated amount of $322,326, as approved in the adopted FY25 budget appropriation.
