 RE: Resolution No. R2024-63 to Approve Change Order with KCI Technologies Inc. (Sam Zamacona, Public Works Director)


Description
 
BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:


 This supplement is to address the consultant’s efforts revisiting project design, program elements, additional meetings, coordination, and presentations related to project schedule adjustments, increased community outreach and new City staff. The supplement also accommodates changes required for the new Florida Building Code (8th Edition), additional shade structure for playground, off site exfiltration trench, and to restore Task 7 - Bidding Assistance previously deducted.
 RECOMMENDATION:


 The City Manager and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the Change Order to the agreement with KCI to increase the previously approved expenditure by $174,910.00 for a total amount of $1,279,606.00.
 FISCAL/ BUDGETARY IMPACT:
 As approved in the adopted FY24 budget appropriation.
