Description
 
BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:


 

Any vacancy of elected officials that occur more than one (1) year prior to the next general election, the commission shall have no power to fill the same; it shall be filled by a special election to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.

 

The Elections department has identified the following options for the Special Election Date:

Option 1 - Tuesday, November 7, 2023

Option 2 - Tuesday, December 5, 2023

 

The Resolution approving the Special Election Date must be provided to the Election Department 60 days prior to selected date.

 RECOMMENDATION:
