In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and being a beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, the NMB Police Departments requires additional seven (7) duty vehicles; and

The City Commission approved the purchase of nine vehicles though R2022-2 an additional five (5) Ford Explorers and two (2) Ford Escapes are needed to upgrade and replace duty fleet vehicles that have high mileage and wear and tear; and

Section 3-4.3 of the City Code allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines; and

An estimated expenditure increase of $356,332 will secure the purchase of seven (7) additional duty fleet vehicles all outfitted with the required law enforcement inclusions as well as all necessary tag and tax fees; and

Section 3-3.20 Change Orders requires that change orders exceeding 10% or $50,000.00, whichever is less, shall be approved by the City Commission; and
