In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services for residents and visitors, the North Miami Beach Water Department requires provides excellent water and wastewater services with the City of North Miami Beach, Aventura, Miami Gardens, Sunny Isles and parts of Unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
Resolution No. R2022-158 was approved by the City Commission on December 20, 2022, authorizing an annual allocation of $120,000, utilizing the City if Plantation agreement No.030-22 for ‘Electric Pump and Motor Repair Services’ with Condo Electric Corp.
Section 3-4.3 of the City Code allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
The North Miami Beach Water Department has requested an increase in purchase authorization; and in order to maintain the North Miami Beach Water treatment process and provide water services to our customers, North Miami Beach Water Department requires a contractor for electric motor and pump repair services which include but not limited to; repair, modification and replacement of various types of electric motors, pumps, valves, mixers, piping gauges and belts.
Section 3-3.14 of the City Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission.
