In an effort to provide excellent municipal services for our staff, residents and visitors, consistent with our Strategic Plan, the City of North Miami Beach issued ITB-22-056-SG “Citywide Janitorial Services” for the daily, routine janitorial maintenance of all City facilities.

The City issued an Invitation to Bid No. ITB-22-024-SG (“ITB”) for “Citywide Janitorial Services”. Pursuant to the ITB, the selected contractor is required to provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials and expertise required for the daily, routine janitorial maintenance services and semi-annual task order services to include floor waxing and shampooing for all City facilities. 

Electronic notices were posted on the City’s website and Bidsync.com, and notifications were sent to over 14,300 potential local and national vendors, and on December 30, 2022, eighteen (18) bids were received by the City; and the Public Works Facilities Maintenance Division, Parks & Recreation, NMB Police Department and Procurement Management Departments reviewed the lowest responsive and responsible bid from Star Building Services Inc. (Star Building) and recommend award of the ITB to Star Building in an estimated annual budgeted amount of $354,021.

Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission; and

The City Manager conducted his own due diligence and concurs with the recommendation to award of the ITB to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Star Building Services Inc., in an estimated annual budgeted amount of $354,021.
