In line with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”), Public Utilities Department (“NMB Water”) provides water service within the City of North Miami Beach, Aventura, Miami Gardens, Sunny Isles and parts of Unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
In order to maintain the NMB Water treatment process and provide water services to our customers, NMB Water requires a services contractor for as needed emergency repairs to wastewater sewer lines.
The City identifies contracts competitively solicited and awarded by other governmental agencies as a favorable procurement method which is in line with the City’s Strategic Plan mission of providing excellent municipal services in a financially responsible manner.
The City of St. Petersburg, Florida, issued Invitation for Bids No.7737, for annual CIPP lining services. LMK Pipe Renewal LLC, (“LMK Pipe”) was awarded the IFB for a three-year term, with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year term.
Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission.
