Description
 
BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:


 

In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and being a beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, the Public Works Fleet Division provides routine maintenance for all City vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.  

 

The Public Works Fleet Division manages and facilitates the routine maintenance and repairs to all City vehicles, heavy duty trucks, and heavy-duty equipment for all departments including NMB Police Department.    

 

The City has identified contracts for various OEM parts and services from multiple manufacturers and suppliers both locally and throughout the U.S. The City of Charlotte, NC acting as the lead agency on behalf of Omnia Partners, awarded Contract No. 2017000280 through December 31, 2023, and The City of Miami awarded a multi-vendor Contract No. 708382 through November 27, 2025, and Miami-Dade County awarded Contract No. FB-00399 through February 28, 2023.  

 RECOMMENDATION:


 The City Manager, the Public Works Director and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to utilize multiple contracts from cooperatives and local municipalities for the purchase OEM parts and services in an estimated annual expenditure of $214,000.

 Funding has been allocated in FY 23 budget appropriation process in account no 010890-519461
