In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and being fiscally responsible, the Utilities Department is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure including facilities and buildings at the Norwood-Oeffler Water Treatment Plant (“WTP”).
The containment area under the sulfuric acid bulk tank at the WTP requires cleaning and recoating.
The City has solicited the assistance of Razorback, LLC (“Razorback”) to furnish repair and recoat the sulfuric acid bulk tank to protect it from further deterioration.
The City of West Palm Beach issued and awarded Invitation to Bid No. ITB-18-19-115 “Water Storage Tank Cleaning and Repair Services” to Razorback, LLC for a three-year term with one additional two-year option to renew, effective May 28, 2019. The agreement has been extended until May 27, 2024.
Section 3-4.3 of the City Code allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment, or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
Section 3-3.14 of the City Code provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission.
