In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and a being beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, the Water Department requires two John Deere mini excavators to replace the worn and outdated excavators currently in service. These heavy construction excavators will be utilized for special projects and daily operations for site preparation, loading, trenching, or placing pipe. John Deere specializes in high quality, dependable heavy construction equipment.
The Florida Sheriffs Association (“FSA”) in partnership with the Florida Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chief Association offer statewide purchasing contracts for local government, county sheriffs, county government, local county boards, municipalities, police agencies, other local public or public safety agencies and state universities and colleges; and on September 9, 2020, the FSA awarded Contract No. “FSA20-EQU 18-0: Heavy Equipment” - to Dobbs Equipment, LLC, for a three (3) year period effective October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2023.
Section 3-4.3 of the City Code allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
