RE: Resolution No. R2022-133 - Award of Invitation to Bid #ITB-22-047-MC - Sanitizing and Disinfecting Services (Andrew Bejel, Human Resources and Risk Management Assistant Director)

Description

BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:

In an effort to provide excellent municipal services, in a financially responsible manner, and consistent with our Strategic Plan, The City of North Miami Beach issued ITB-22-047-MC - Sanitizing and Disinfecting Services, seeking bids from qualified, experienced, and licensed bidders to complete sanitizing and disinfecting services on as needed and emergency basis.

The City desires to contract with an experienced contractor who has a documented history of exemplary performance, reliability, adequate staffing, and who is located close enough to the City to respond quickly to emergencies and other urgent issues. The resulting contract will be a per square foot performance-based contract. Contractor is required to provide all services and supplies of sufficient quantity and quality to achieve the quality performance standards.

ITB notices were electronically mailed to over 1,200 potential, local and national suppliers as well as advertised on the City’s website. On September 1, 2022, fourteen (14)  bids were received by the City and a tabulation was generated.

The Human Resources and Risk Management Department and the Procurement Department reviewed the apparent lowest responsive and responsible bid from Disinfx and recommends the annual award in an amount up to $56,000.

Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission based on recommendation of the City Manager.

 RECOMMENDATION:

The City Manager conducted his own due diligence and concurs with the recommendation to award of the ITB to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Disinfx in an annual amount up to $56,000.

 FISCAL/ BUDGETARY IMPACT:
