In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and being a beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, the Parks and Recreation Department provides parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities for recreation use and to improve quality of life of residents and visitors with the mission of the City.

the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park is a very important neighborhood stable located in the Washington Park community.

On June 1, 2022 the City of North Miami Beach (“City”) issued an Invitation to Bid No. ITB-22-034-SG (“ITB”) for “Furnish, Delivery & Installation of Bronze Statue”; and electronic notices were posted on the City’s website and Bidsync.com, and notifications were sent to over 2,300 potential local and national vendors. The ITB closed on June 17, 2022 with no bids received.

A Purchase Order was issued to American Bronze Foundry as they provided a quote to furnish, deliver and install a bronze Dr. Martin Luther King Jr statue, providing all necessary labor, equipment, material and expertise in an estimated expenditure of $58,300.
