In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and a being beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, it is our mission to provide safe sidewalks and walking paths for our residents. The Public Works and Capital Improvement Project (CIP) initiative has aggressive plans to successfully accomplish this through continual repair and replacement projects throughout the City.
Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
The City of North Miami Beach is a member of the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group (Co-op) and the City of Miami Gardens, acting as the lead agency issued and awarded Initiation to Bid #21-22-008 Sidewalk Replacement and Installation Annual Contract to Metro Express, Inc. (“Metro Express”) for a three (3) year term, with two (2) one-year options to renew effective April 13, 2022.
