| | BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:
| The City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) requires professional lobbying services to help promote the City's legislative priorities and achieve the City's goals which is in line with the City's Strategic Plan's goal of providing excellent municipal services in a financially responsible and environmentally conscious manner. The lobbying services include providing the City with information regarding changes to substantive law, rules and regulations, as well as opposing legislation that might otherwise impose unreasonable mandates and preemptions on our local government. Rubin Turnbull & Associates, has been an established lobbyist for over 30 years with experience representing municipal agencies throughout the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County areas, including the City of Miami, the City of Miramar, and the City of Deerfield Beach. Rubin Turnbull & Associates has provided the City with a proposal for lobbying services at a cost of $93,750, to be paid in monthly installments. | RECOMMENDATION:
| The City Manager recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to enter into an agreement with Rubin Turnbull & Associates for lobbyist services in an estimated budgeted amount of $93,750. | FISCAL/ BUDGETARY IMPACT:
