Description
 
BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:


 In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and a being beautiful, safe and livable community in South Florida, it is our mission to provide safe and aesthetically pleasing facilities for optimal utilization for residents and staff on a daily basis. The City requires replacement and/or new office furniture to complete the current renovations of City Hall. The City has solicited the assistance of Global Industries, Inc. dba Global Furniture (Global) for the purchase and installation of office and conference room furniture; and WHEREAS, the State of Florida’s Department of Management Services (Department) is authorized by subsection 287.042(16), Florida Statutes, to evaluate contracts let by the Federal Government, another state, or political subdivision for the provision of commodities and contract services, and, if it is determined in writing to be cost-effective and in the best interest of the state, to enter into a written agreement authorizing an agency to make purchases under such contract. 
 RECOMMENDATION:


 The City Manager and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to enter into an agreement with Global for the purchase and installation of office and conference room furniture at City Hall in an estimated budgeted amount of $72,000.

 The funding has been allocated to account number 010860-539620
