In line with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services and a high performing City organization providing exceptional public services.
The City issued Invitation to Bid No. ITB-22-022-MC - NE 153 Street Roadway and Drainage Improvement.
The project consists of design of approximately 2,400 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch watermain and 1,300 LF of 8-inch watermain. All interconnections, service connections and stub-outs on the existing pipelines will need to be transferred to the proposed or other existing pipelines. Additionally, fire hydrants shall be installed on the proposed pipelines of adequate size per Fire Department’s requirements. It is in conjunction with Public Works roadway improvements on 153rd Street, which will entail the installation of 860 linear feet of drainage pipe, catch basin and manhole structures, a Downstream Defender (vortex) storm water run-off pre-treatment structure and a drainage well box Also, the entire roadways will be resurfaced with striping and landscaped.
ITB notices were electronically mailed to over 8,800 potential, local and national suppliers as well as advertised on the City’s website and on May 19, 2022, seven (7) bids were received by the City and administratively reviewed.
The NMB Public Works, NMB Water and the Procurement Department reviewed the apparent lowest responsive and responsible bid from C&W Pipeline, Inc., and recommends the award in an amount up to $1,085,797.
Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission based on recommendation of the City Manager.
