In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan of providing a safe environment for residents and visitors to the City, and being fiscally responsible, it is NMB Wastewater mission to maintain operations of the lift stations and prevent wastewater emergency situations resulting from equipment failure or severe weather natural disasters.
The NMB Wastewater collections system is made up of over thirty-three (33) wastewater pump stations which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Ability to maintain daily operations without disruption is a critical and an absolute necessity for public health and safety.
The City has solicited the assistance of Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc. (“XYLEM”) for the purchase of FLYGT Pumps, Parts and Repairs (“FLYGT”).
Orange County, Florida issued Invitation for Bids #Y22-103-MV, Flygt Pumps, Parts and Repairs. Awarding Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc. with a three (3) year term through November 30, 2024, with an option for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission.
