 RE: Resolution No. R2022-63 Approving an Agreement with Trane for the Purchase of HVAC Products, Installation Services and Related Products & Services (Phillip Ford, Chief Procurement Officer)


Description
 
BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:


 

Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.

 

Omnia Partners Public Sector (formerly U.S. Communities) is the leading national cooperative purchase program, providing world class government procurement resources and solutions to local and state government agencies, school districts (k-12), higher education institutions and non-profits looking for the best overall supplier government pricing.

 

Hartford County Public Schools acting as the lead agency for Omnia Partners issued sealed Bid#15-JLP-023 HVAC Products, Installation, Services and Related Products and Services. Awarding Trane with a three (3) year term through September 30, 2018, with an additional two, two-year renewal terms through March 31, 2023.

 RECOMMENDATION:


 

Given the above, the City Manager is requesting approval to authorize the City Manager to issue purchase orders to Trane in an not-to-exceed amount of $700,000 through through March 31, 2023.

The Fiscal Impact is by various sources of funds per Exhibit "A" Summary of Capital Improvement Projects
