RE: Resolution No. R2022-62 Approving an Agreement with Garland/DBS, Inc. for the Purchase of Restoration and Enhancement Services for Various City Facilities (Phillip Ford, Chief Procurement Officer)

Description

BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:

To successfully accomplish this, the City has solicited the assistance of Garland/DBS, Inc.  Garland provides turnkey services with a single point of contact and responsibility for all project aspects. Their expertise in roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, waterproofing and much amore are key elements in the success of the CIP initiatives.

Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances allows for the use of other governmental entities’ contracts upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City were purchased using solicitation procedures which are substantially equivalent to the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.

Omnia Partners Public Sector (formerly U.S. Communities) is the leading national cooperative purchase program, providing world class government procurement resources and solutions to local and state government agencies, school districts (k-12), higher education institutions and non-profits looking for the best overall supplier government pricing.

Racine County, Wisconsin acting as the lead agency for Omnia Partners issued sealed Bid#PW1925, Roofing Supplies and Services, Waterproofing and Related Products and Services awarded with a five (5) year term through October 14, 2024, with an additional five year renewal term.

 RECOMMENDATION:
