The Allen Park DeLeonardis Youth Center currently houses a fitness center approximately 1,500 square feet and is extensively used by residents and visitors for their fitness and health activities.  The Allen Park DeLeonardis Youth Center Fitness equipment is in need of replacement and modernization.  The outdated fitness equipment requires diversification to allow all levels and abilities to use without assistance from others.

During the FY22 budget process the Commission approved the replacement equipment in the Parks and Recreation capital budget.   The new equipment from Life Fitness LLC. will modernize the much needed fitness area. The City will be utilizing a piggyback contract from Sourcewell (formerly NJPA - National Joint Powers Alliance) #081120 titled "Fitness Equipment with Related Accessories and Services."

The City Manager, Parks and Recreation Director and Interim Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute an agreement with Life Fitness LLC. in the amount of $97,127.14
