| | BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:
| In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan Mission of being a fiscally sound city government, a request is made to engage the services of Kessler Consulting Inc. (KCI) to conduct an operational and financial analysis and provide technical assistance as required, to insource the city’s solid waste and recycling collection and disposal services.
Solid Waste and recycling collection is currently being provided by Waste Management on a one (1) year agreement that will terminate on February 28, 2022. The City Commission has expressed a desire to insource this service pending a thorough analysis by a subject matter expert. KCI is a recognized professional entity with a specialty in Solid Waste Management operations and has provided technical assistance to the city in the past.
Given the time sensitivity of the request, the repute of this company throughout South Florida and their familiarity with this city’s solid waste operation staff recommends approval for the proposal in the amount of $44,500.00. | RECOMMENDATION:
