The City of North Miami Beach issued an Invitation to Bid No. ITB-21-006-SG for NMB Police Department Restroom Renovations.

The renovations encompass the demolition, modernization and efficiency of the men’s and women’s restroom and shower-room facilities. These renovations are vital to the 24/7 operations of the police department staff; providing operable and modern facilities for health, wellness and efficiency for daily operations.

Electronic notices were posted on the City’s website and Bidsync.com, and notifications were sent to over 26,000 potential local and national vendors, and on January 25, 2021, five (5) bids were received by the City.

The NMB Police Department and Procurement Management Division reviewed the lowest responsive and responsible bid from Florida Palm Construction, Inc., (“Florida Palm”) and recommend award of the ITB to Florida Palm Construction, Inc., in an estimated amount of $162,140.

Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall be awarded by the City Commission.

The City Manager conducted his own due diligence and concurs with the recommendation to award of the ITB to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Florida Palm Construction, Inc., in an estimated amount of $162,140.
