In keeping with the City of North Miami Beach’s (“City”) Strategic Plan Mission of providing a safe environment for residents and visitors to the City, and being fiscally responsible, a request is being made to allow a change order to the Agreement RFQ#19-099-DR “NMB Water Capital Improvement Program Management Support” between the City of North Miami Beach, Florida and Black & Veatch (CONSULTANT), for Work Order # 2, Year 2 Program Management Support Services.
On June 16, 2020, the Mayor and City Commission approved Resolution No. R2020-41 in the amount of $1,395,259 for Work Order #1 program management support services for an estimated duration of five (5) months. Work Order #1 has successfully progressed and will soon end on December 31, 2020.
This Work Order #2, Year 2 is for an estimated duration of twelve (12) months and it authorizes CONSULTANT to provide ongoing Staff Augmentation and Program Management support to NMB Water. The activities which the CONSULTANT’s professional will be assigned to support as part of this work order and the work associated with this work order is described in further detail in the attached “Work Order 2, NMB Water Capital Improvement Program Management Support Services Scope of Services”.
Funding for the management support related to the water projects has been secured through WIFIA funding and Water Revenue Bonds, Series 2020A. Funding for the management support related to the sewer projects has been secured through Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2020. The estimated cost is $4,318,689.66.
The Project Manager recommends to continue the implementation of NMB Water’s Capital Improvement Program, is to issue work order #2 as a change order to the current CONSULTANT. Black & Veatch has proved to be an extremely reliable and responsive consultant.
