| | BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:
| In Order to operate a bar, nightclub or restaurant in the City of North Miami Beach for the consumption of alcoholic beverages on premise during the hours of 4:00 am to 6:00 am a business must obtain an extended license by the City Commissioners.
G5ive, LLC D/B/A G5ive is an adult entertainment establishment requesting to renew a 4:00 am to 6:00 am Extension of Hours Business Tax Receipt. Per Chapter XII, Article II, Section 12-2.2(C), a Business Tax Receipt for extended hours may be renewed by the City Commission subject to payment of the non refundable fees and a satisfactory report from the Chief of Police.
The applicant has obtained the current state licenses from the State of Florida, Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Permanent Food Service and the 4COP, Alcohol Beverage & Tobacco.
| RECOMMENDATION:
| The Chief of Police did not find any significant adverse incidents that would preclude renewal of the license.
City staff recommends renewal of the 4 AM to 6 AM license. | FISCAL/ BUDGETARY IMPACT:
| For the Fiscal year 2020-2021 the division received $21,316.35 in Business Tax Receipt fees from G5ive. Below is a detailed break down of these fees:
Adult Entertainment: $10,015.00
Night Club: $ 1,821.35
Extension of Hours 2 am to 4 am $ 3,165.00
Extension of Hours 4 am to 6 am: $ 6,315.00 |
