The North Miami Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was authorized by the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commission (BCC) and is a successful partnership between the CRA, City and the County.
The Interlocal Cooperation Agreement (the "Agreement") between the CRA, the City and the County requires, among other things, the CRA to annually adopt and transmit a budget and annual report to the City and County for review and approval by the City Commission and Board of County Commissioners.
The CRA Board adopted a five-year Strategic Action Plan at their June 25th, 2020 meeting. Staff subsequently prepared a FY 2021 budget that addresses the immediate needs of the CRA and starts the implementation of this five-year plan. Both the proposed FY 2021 budget and the five-year Strategic Action Plan are consistent with the latest approved Redevelopment Plan.
The FY 2021 proposed budget was approved by the City's Redevelopment Advisory Board (RAB) and received CRA Board approval at the September 8th, 2020 meeting.
