| | BACKGROUND ANALYSIS:
| The City of North Miami Beach provides benefits to retirees in accordance with state statues and City Policies. On August 18, 2020, the City passed Resolution 2020-71, approving the selection of Neighborhood Healthcare Partnership/United Healthcare, Inc. as the provider for the City’s health insurance benefit. The plans approved through Resolution 2020-71 are intended to cover all eligible City employees and retirees that reside in the State of Florida. As such, it is necessary to add a plan option that makes benefits available to out-of-state retirees. | RECOMMENDATION:
| We respectfully request authorization for the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an agreement with United Healthcare to provide a plan option for retirees who reside outside of the State of Florida. | FISCAL/ BUDGETARY IMPACT:
