On September 20, 2016, the City Commission of the City of North Miami Beach (“City”) passed Resolution No. R2016-82 (“R2016-82”), establishing due process procedures to remove any Charter Officer.  At the June 28, 2018, City Commission Meeting, the City Commission raised concerns with the language contained in R2016-82 and the resulting implementation of the procedures set forth therein.  Due to their concerns, the City Commission directed the City Attorney's Office to draft a resolution repealing R2016-82.
