In line with the City’s Strategic Plan of providing excellent municipal services in a financially responsible and environmentally conscious manner and a beautiful, safe and livable City, the City requires installation of camera surveillance systems. The Police Department and the Parks Department met to discuss how the camera system might be deployed at some of our City park locations to help promote safety and reduce the chance of vandalism as well as other crimes that occur within our parks.
The Park and R.E.C. Department has camera surveillance systems currently installed and functioning at the Yes/McDonald Center complex and at Uleta Park and Pool. The Library also has a functioning system, which was recently installed, this purchase will further enhance its capabilities.
