The City of North Miami Beach (“City”), Police Department and Parks and Recreation Department requires guard service.
In line with the North Miami Beach Strategic Plan’s mission of providing excellent municipal services and being financially responsible, the City identifies contracts competitively solicited and awarded by other governmental agencies as favorable procurement method.
The City of Fort Lauderdale issued a Request for Proposal #565-11664 for Security Guard Services. On January 5, 2016 City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida awarded Request for Proposal #565-11664 for Security Guard Services awarded the bid to Navarro Security Group, Inc. which is now Raven Protections Services Inc., for a two-year term with the option to extend beyond this subject to both the appropriation and the availability of funds
Section 3-4.3 of the City’s Code of Ordinances upon a determination that the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services needed by the City are comparable to solicitation procedures substantially equivalent to the requirements of the North Miami Beach, the City may procure, without following formal contract procedure, all supplies, materials, equipment and contractual services.
The City has estimated an annual expenditure of $127,000.00 for the purchase of Guard Services in the 2017 Fiscal Year Budget and Section 3-3.14 of the City’s Code of Ordinances provides that contracts in excess of fifty thousand ($50,000.00) dollars shall be awarded by City Commission. |
