The City of North Miami Beach approved on February 17^th, 2015, Resolution No. R2015-19, a Management and Operations agreement between the City and Soccer Development Group, LLC (SDG), to construct, manage and operate a world-class state-of-the-art sports complex and to provide top-quality athletic opportunities.   The Agreement provides for SDG to provide an investment, construction and start-up operation of a sports complex for youth, and to be partnered with a premier internationally-branded soccer club located at Mishcon Park.

The City approved an amendment to the Agreement on July 5^th, 2016, Resolution No. 2016-48, which provided for expansion of the previously approved SDG Clubhouse and addition of an educational use to allow for operation of a Sports Leadership and Management Foundation, Inc. (SLAM) Charter School on the second floor of the SDG Clubhouse.  

Pursuant to Section 23 of the Agreement, any changes to ownership interests greater than 10 percent (10%) of the ownership interests shall be subject to City Commission approval. 

SDG is seeking approval for changes in ownership interests as reflected in the attached Exhibit “A” Resolution of Soccer Development Group, LLC.

It is recommended the Mayor and Commissioners authorize the City Manager, with the City Attorney, to execute all necessary documents in approving the amendment to the change in ownership.
