The North Miami Beach Barracuda Swim Team won 1st place in the South Florida Recreational Swim League 2016 Summer Championships. The Boys placed 1st in their division and the Girls placed 2nd in their division. Ben Phung broke his previous record (set in the last championship) in the boys 12-18 yr old 100 yard free. The swimmers were awarded several individual medals for various events.
The NMB Barracuda Swim Team trains year round at Victory Pool Aquatics Center. The co-ed team consists of approximately 40 swimmers ranging in age from 5 yrs - 18 yrs old. The team competes in various swim meets throughout the year, and is quickly becoming known for their skill, determination and tenacity! |
